Yes. This training is specifically designed to support you within your professional role. It does not teach diagnosis or treatment of tongue tie. Instead, it focuses on understanding how tongue tie can affect feeding, what observations are appropriate within your scope, and how to support families and communicate concerns professionally.
Absolutely. This training is intentionally created for doulas, nannies, and infant care specialists, as well as lactation consultants. You’ll gain clarity around what matters when feeding is difficult, how to support families without overstepping, and how to collaborate effectively with the rest of the care team.
No prior expertise is required. The content is clear, practical, and evidence-informed, and presented in a way that is accessible whether you’re newer to infant care or have years of experience. The goal is clarity - not complexity.
In-person learning allows for real-time discussion, questions, and shared understanding that simply can’t be replicated online. Being in the room creates space for nuance, clinical reasoning, and conversation - especially around a topic that is often confusing and emotionally charged for families.
Certificates of attendance are provided for all participants. Lactation consultants may choose an optional VIP upgrade that includes 6 L-CERPs from IBLCE and one year of online course access. Details about the VIP option will be available at checkout.
